چکیده

Abstract Binderless particleboards were prepared without any resin adhesives from Broussonetia papyrifera trunk by hot pressing. The effects of particle size, pressing time, temperature and board density on the physical mechanical properties binderless boards investigated. chemical changes in investigated chemical, spectroscopic cellulose crystallinity analyses. bonding performance latex was discussed. results showed: (1) smaller size particle, higher internal (IB) strength lower thickness swelling (TS) had. modulus rupture (MOR), elasticity (MOE) IB values increased with increase density. Within a certain range, manufactured at longer time had better properties. Under optimum manufacturing condition 220 ℃/30 min/1.0 g/cm 3 , recorded MOR 28 MPa, MOE 5.3 GPa, 2.74 MPa 24 h TS 7.4%, which met requirements Chinese national standard for heavy-duty particleboard. (2) degradation hemicellulose during resulted decrease content extractives. Some products form new to dimensional stability boards. (3) formation pseudo-lignin C–O–C contributed high quality (4) poplar veneers bonded (0.6 MPa), indicating played positive role self-bonding

Sex Distribution of Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera) in the Pacific

BACKGROUND Paper mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) L'Hér. ex Vent) is a dioecious tree native to East Asia and mainland Southeast-Asia, introduced prehistorically to Polynesia as a source of bark fiber by Austronesian-speaking voyagers. In Oceania, trees are coppiced and harvested for production of bark-cloth, so flowering is generally unknown. A survey of botanical records of paper mulber...

Genetic diversity of Broussonetia papyrifera populations in southwest China.

Broussonetia papyrifera is an important native tree species with high economic value in southwest China. Its resources are drastically reduced because of over-harvesting and habitat fragmentation. In this study, 17 natural populations of B. papyrifera were analyzed using inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers to assess the genetic diversity and population structure. In total, 100 bands wer...

Characterization of microsatellite markers for Broussonetia papyrifera (Moraceae)1

PREMISE OF THE STUDY Broussonetia papyrifera (Moraceae) is native to Asia and is used as a medicinal plant and as a source of fiber for making paper. It was dispersed into the Pacific region as a fiber source for making nonwoven textiles (barkcloth). Microsatellites were developed to trace the human-mediated dispersal of this species into the Pacific region. METHODS AND RESULTS A set of 36 mi...

Chemical Composition and Antioxidant Activities of Broussonetia papyrifera Fruits

Fruits of Broussonetia papyrifera from South China were analyzed for their total chemical composition, and antioxidant activities in ethanol and aqueous extracts. In the fruit of this plant, the crude protein, crude fat and carbohydrates was 7.08%, 3.72% and 64.73% of dry weight, respectively. The crude protein, crude fat and carbohydrates were 15.71%, 20.51% and 36.09% of dry weight, respectiv...
